  1. www.SpanishDict.com A comprehensive Spanish learning resource center.  This site includes many free educational materials as well as Spanish-to-English translation.
  2. National Museum of Language: The mission of The National Museum of Language is to enhance understanding of all aspects of language in history, contemporary affairs, and the future. By fostering the study of the nature of language, its development, and its role and importance in society, and by exploring linguistic problems and ways of overcoming them, the Museum will serve as a resource for people in all walks of life, and will contribute to better understanding and communication among individuals and among the peoples of the world.
  3. Language Acquisition Resource Center: Our mission is to develop and support the teaching and learning of foreign languages in the United States through research, technology, and publications. Particular attention is paid to less commonly taught languages, cross-cultural issues, language skills assessment, and teacher training. 
  4. Center for Applied Linguistics:  CAL is a private, non-profit organization: a group of scholars and educators who use the findings of linguistics and related sciences in identifying and addressing language-related problems. CAL carries out a wide range of activities including research, teacher education, analysis and dissemination of information, design and development of instructional materials, technical assistance, conference planning, program evaluation, and policy analysis.
  5. Classes, which are held on site for your convenience, are tailored to your interests and work profession. Group sessions provide an opportunity for greater practice and quicker learning.   6. National Capital Language Resource Center:  Since its inception in 1990, the NCLRC has conducted activities in the areas of testing, learning strategies, materials development & methodology, technology, professional development, and dissemination of information on commonly and less commonly taught languages.
  7. Annenberg: Teaching Foreign Languages K-12: Annenberg Media uses media and telecommunications to advance excellent teaching in American schools. This mandate is carried out chiefly by the funding and broad distribution of educational video programs with coordinated Web and print materials for the professional development of K-12 teachers. It is part of The Annenberg Foundation and advances the Foundation's goal of encouraging the development of more effective ways to share ideas and knowledge.
  8. National African Language Resource Center: The Center's mission is to serve the entire community of African language educators and learners in the United States by sponsoring a wide range of educational and professional activities designed to improve the accessibility and quality of African language instruction in the United States. The Center encourages a variety of pedagogical approaches to accommodate learner diversity, and advocates the integration of language and culture learning and the acquisition of fluency in these areas. It facilitates dialogue among teachers, learners, and administrators from a wide variety cultural and institutional perspectives, and promotes the profession of African language teaching.  
  9. Spanish Embassy Programs:  This program enables young Spanish graduates to further their education and broaden their horizons through an internship at an American school as a conversation assistant. The American schools that are interested in having conversation assistants during the academic year can get further information on the program and access the application form to be sent to the Office of Education and Science.
  10. Concordia Language Villages:  "The mission of Concordia Language Villages is to prepare young people for responsible citizenship in our global community." Concordia Language Villages reflects the mission of Concordia College, which is to influence the affairs of the world by sending into society thoughtful and informed men and women dedicated to the Christian life. The college's mission is inclusive in composition, global in scope and reconciling in intention.
  11. E.L. Easton Materials for Teaching & Learning: This website offers a plethora of materials for those studying or teaching world languages. 
  12. Online World Language Dictionary:  The WordReference Dictionaries are free online translation dictionaries.  The most popular dictionaries are the Spanish Dictionary, French Dictionary and the Italian Dictionary. Search with the form below or the box above.
  13. American Bilingual Child: Since its founding in 2002, ABC has been involved in helping children to learn a second language. ABC is an organization that promotes early language learning. We provide foreign language instruction to children (and their parents) of all ages.
